In 2024 we lunched the project called The Migratory Truck in the Vichada Department of Colombia. The project is a collaboration with local leaders and SELVA researchers, working together to bring activities that foster the appreciation of local avifauna through cultural and experiential activities. The workshops were designed for children from marginalized communities of the Vichada. A total of 133 children from 5 schools participated.

Our lab also co-organized with SELVA an event called Una Noche en la SELVA. This event   brings together the community of people that works with SELVA and interested students that want to get involved. The event's goals are to share knowledge, learn from each other, and strengthen a community of people that shares an interest in Neotropical Conservation.

Below you can find examples of outreach events in which we talked about our research with The Field Museum of Natural history at Chicago and Ciencia pa' sumercé
